Presented by Alan L. Milliken, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, CLTD, CPF, CSOP

Agenda

Today most firms have or are implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Alan was introduced to the ERP concept in 1991 when he was asked to serve on a team to assess the available hardware-software platforms for ERP and recommend one for BASF. The consensus decision was to acquire the SAP R2 ERP platform. Alan spent the next 25 years supporting implementation of the ERP concepts and software as a consultant and educator.

This presentation will provide insights from 25 years of first-hand experience.

Participants will learn:

- How to avoid the major pitfalls of ERP implementation and use.

- Tips for scoping and supporting the ERP evolution.

- Examples of balancing people-process-technology in the quest for ERP excellence.

Participants will leave better prepared to improve the use of ERP processes and systems.
