Michael D. Ford, TQM Works Consulting
Master Instructor, ASCM Instructor Development Program
8:00am – 5:00pm ET, Fri. & Sat. 13th-14th October 2023
Hybrid Training Workshop: New Providence NJ and Zoom

The purpose of the Learning Dynamics for Instructors is to help you effectively create training activities in the classroom. These activities will result in a more engaging classroom experience and provide you with the ability to affirm whether or not learners are learning the concepts and skills presented.

This two-day intensive course is a hands-on, do-it-yourself opportunity to learn and practice techniques to enhance learning dynamics. It will focus on the interactive dynamics that take place in the classroom and how these activities can be managed by the trainer to maximize learning. A successful and reliable set of tools will be provided that you can use in any training situation. You will receive constructive feedback from your instructor(s) and your peers.

Participants will accomplish the following learning objectives:

  • explain the effect of core training practices and how learners learn on instructor training preparation
  • explain how motivation, productive learning environments, and learning styles impact how effectively learners learn
  • demonstrate the ability to use listening skills to accurately assess learning
  • select active training methods to maximize learning and retention
  • demonstrate the ability to use questioning skills to create questions appropriate to training objectives
  • develop strategies for managing and enhancing classroom dynamics
  • demonstrate the value of training evaluations and refine your PDP for future skills growth
  • compare and contrast face-to-face (F2F), live virtual training (LVT), and asynchronous environments
